A desperate Indian girl is about to be evicted from her apartment for not being able to pay rent. She visits her landlord, who is also an old acquaintance, and pleads for more time to gather the money. The landlord, feeling sympathetic but still needing the rent, proposes an alternative arrangement: to take care of his"manly urges" instead. Initially resistant, the girl agrees when faced with the prospect of being homeless.
